New Born (5 – 14 days old)

Documenting newborn sessions are a wonderful experience both for the parents and also for me. It goes by fast, and before you know it, I am sitting on your couch delivering your images from your newborn session, and you are crying about how much your baby has changed…and it has only been 5 weeks.

When should I book the session?

Book your sessions as soon as you find out because this type of session is very popular.

How do I book a session?

You can provide me with your due date and I’ll just write it down in my calendar and I’ll reserve you a spot for after you give birth. Most mothers simply  send me a text message or email while they are still in the hospital, so that I know when the baby was born and can plan accordingly. For those with scheduled inductions and c-sections, a date can be booked ahead of time.

When do you photograph my newborn?

For best results newborns should be captured between 5 and 14 days old; when they are at their ultimate scrunchiness and sleepiness. Older than this, they tend to not “curl” as much and sleep less.

Can you come to my home?

Nowadays I prefer if sessions are carried out in my my studio as its fully-equipped with the necessary tools for a successful newborn session

How long does a session last?

The average session is 2 hours. Some are shorter, some are longer, it is really up to the baby.

What do I need for the session?

Just the baby and anyone or anything else special you want in the photo. I will specify other specific details once you book the session.

How do I prepare for the session?

Once you book a session we will send you all the instructions you require to prepare for a lovely session with us.
